Our Story.

Our engineers started back in the ‘90s at Montana State University, where our principals, Ron and Damon, met. They traded calculator programs on their HPs in engineering economics class. In 1999 Ron moved to Seattle to work for a small but growing engineering firm and invited Damon to join him. After five years of working together, they knew there was a simple yet more collaborative approach to design and working with clients. In 2005, they set out to start their engineering firm, Sound Structural Solutions. Today, we have a team of engineers and project managers creating simple solutions to solve any problem.
